It is a
little difficult to find recipes, which really originate from Singapore.
Apart from a lot of international restaurants and cooking in general (Chinese,
Japanese, Indian,
Italian), in Singapore cooking the most
prominent influences are most probably Chinese,
Indonesian and
Malaysian.
There is a part of the city Chinatown, where you can eat lovely
Chinese dishes, and 75% of the population
is Chinese. A lot of noodle dishes figure
on the menu, but also satay is popular. As Singapore is surrounded by sea,
you will find fish and
shrimps as well. |
