Special days in France, on which you could serve these dishes, are the second Sunday in March, Grandmother's Day, 21 June Fête de la Musique, 14 July, the big national holiday for the storming of the Bastille in 1789, 10 September 1977, when the last person is beheaded by guillotine; and 11 October, the dying day (1963) of the famous French singer Edith Piaf.
