Savoie is one of the departments of the region Rhône-Alpes and home to many delicious cheeses. To mention a few: Abondance, Emmenthal, Reblochon, Beaufort, Tomme, Chevrotin and Tamié. They are not always available everywhere, but you can always combine a cheese shopping trip with walking or a ski holiday in the beautiful mountains.
