Put all ingredients
together in a greased oven dish, covered with foil. Bake 40 minutes
at 180 degrees Celsius. Take off
the foil and bake 20 minutes more. Puree the mixture and serve hot
or cold.
This dish is
served for Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year); the apples are symbolic
for a good and sweet New Year; honey is also a symbolic food item on
this day. One wishes "shana tova", a good and sweet New Year.
