Potato patties

  • 750 GRAM SMALL POTATOES
  • 100 GRAM BACON, cubed
  • 100 GRAM BUTTER, melted
  • FRESH MILLED PEPPER
 
  • 600 GRAM POTATOES, peeled and grated
  • 2 ONIONS, chopped
  • 2 EGGS
  • 1/2 CUP MILK
  • 3 TBSP FLOUR

Cook the potatoes 5 minutes and allow them to cool down. Fry the bacon 5 minutes, add the potatoes, put a lid on the pan and fry for 5-10 minutes, stir a few times. Pour the butter over the potatoes and sprinkle with salt and fresh milled pepper.

This recipe was prepared in spring when the new potatoes arrived.

Rinse the grated potatoes with water and drain them well. Mix with the onions, milk, eggs, flour and pepper and salt to taste. Heat some oil in a frying pan and put 1 tablespoon batter per patty in the pan. Fry on low heat and turn now and then until they are brown on both sides.
