Tomato pepper sauce  

Tarator

 
  • 4 TOMATOES, cubed
  • 2 CLOVES GARLIC, chopped
  • 1 ONION, chopped
  • 2 RED CHILI PEPPERS, chopped
  • 2 TBSP TOMATO PUREE
  • 1 TSP THYME
  • 1/2 TSP CURRY POWDER
  •  
    • 100 GRAM HAZELNUTS
    • 100 GRAM BREADCRUMBS
    • 1 CUP OLIVE OIL
    • 1/2 CUP VINEGAR
    • 3 CLOVES GARLIC
    • 1 TSP SALT
    Stir fry the onion, the garlic and the pepper for 3 minutes. Add the other ingredients and a glass of water, bring it to the boil and simmer for half an hour. Add salt to taste. Delicious on beans, rice or baked bananas.

    Put all ingredients in a food processor and puree for a minute or so.  Good with fish or fried vegetables.
