Split the eggs. Beat
the whites until fluffy. Beat the yolks with 100 grams sugar for 5 minutes.
Cut the cold butter in cubes and crumble it through the flour until
very small. Add the corn starch and then the egg yolk mixture. At last
carefully mix the whites in. Put in a round form and bake for half an
hour in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
Allow the cake to cool down and cut it horizontally in 2 parts. Beat
the cream with the rest of the sugar. Cut 100 grams of the strawberries
small. Put the jam on the bottom layer of the cake, then half of the
cream and the small cut strawberries. Put the second half of the cake
on top and decorate with the rest of the cream and strawberries like
in the picture.

Mix the butter with
the sugar; mix in the eggs one after the other. Then slowly mix in the
flour. Put the batter in an oven dish. Peel the pears and cut into thin
slices. Stick the slices into the top of the cake. Bake 30 minutes at
200 degrees Celsius.
These cakes will taste wonderfully with coffee or
tea. They will be great as dessert too, just by themselves or as part
of a dessert buffet.
