Walnut cake Walnut pie
  • 300 GRAM SELF RAISING FLOUR
  • 200 GRAM BUTTER
  • 200 GRAM SUGAR
  • 3 EGGS
  • 100 GRAM WALNUTS
  • 1 TABLESPOON LEMON RIND

Chop the walnuts, keep a few behind for decoration. Mix butter 200 gram sugar, flour, 1 tablespoon instant coffee and eggs to a batter. Add the chopped walnuts and put the batter in a round form. Bake 35 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
In the meantime, heat the honey with the liqueur and the rest of the instant coffee. Cut the cake horizontally in two and sprinkle this mixture on the top of both halves. Mix cottage cheese with the cream and the remaining sugar and spread three quarters of this mixture over the bottom cake half, put the top half on and put the rest of the cream mixture on. Decorate with walnuts.

Make a dough of the self raising flour, 150 gram butter, 100 gram sugar and an egg yolk. Put the dough in small forms. Chop the walnuts, melt the remaining butter, add to the walnuts, as well as the remaining sugar, two eggs and lemon rind. Fill the form with this mixture. Bake 30 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
