Christmas angels

Butter fingers

  • 125 GRAM SELF RAISING FLOUR
  • 80 GRAM BROWN SUGAR
  • 75 GRAM SOFT BUTTER
  • PINCH OF CINNAMON
  • 1/2 EGG
  • 50 GRAM ICED SUGAR
  •
Mix the flour with the sugar, the cinnamon, the butter and egg and knead this well. Roll it out and cut into angels. Bake them 12-14 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Allow them to cool down. Mix the icing sugar with one tablespoon of water and decorate the cookies with it.

The Worldcook site has also a page for Christmas cookies.

Whisk the butter with the sugar and the vanilla sugar for a minute or so. Add the flour and the egg yolk and stir. Make "cookie fingers" on a greased baking tray, using a piping bag. Bake them 15 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius. Allow the cookies to cool down. Melt the chocolate and dip the ends in it. Allow the chocolate to harden.
