Apple bacon salad Potato salad
  • 250 GRAM ENDIVES OR LETTUCE
  • 2 APPLES
  • 100 GRAM WALNUTS
  • 100 GRAM BACON
  • 100 GRAM CHEESE
  • 2 TABLESPOONS MAYONNAISE
  • 2 TABLESPOONS LEMON JUICE
  • 1 TABLESPOON HONEY
  • 1 KG NEW POTATOES
  • 1 ONION
  • 3 GREEN ONIONS
  • 1 TABLESPOON MUSTARD
  • 2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
  • 1 TABLESPOON VINEGAR
  • 1 CLOVE GARLIC
  • 1 TABLESPOON SEA SALT

Cut the endives and put them in a large bowl. Cut the bacon small and fry for 10 minutes. After cooling down, put the bacon on top of the salad. Peel, clean and cut the apple and put on top of the bacon. Cut the cheese in small cubes and put on top. For the dressing, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey and salt and pepper according to taste and pour over the salad. Chop the nuts and add them as last.

Potato salad is a very nice and simple recipe. The taste however is determined by the vinegar and olive oil you use. So always choose the best quality for this recipe, don't try to save money!

Cook the potatoes with the peel. If they are big, cut them in four. Mix the oil with the vinegar, chopped onion and green onion, and crushed garlic and mustard. Add some fresh pepper. Pour the mixture over the potatoes while they are still warm. Now allow them to cool down, and then add the sea salt.
