Hermits Apple tartlets
  • 180 GRAM FLOUR
  • 100 GRAM SOFT BUTTER
  • 1 EGG
  • 150 GRAM BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 TSP BAKING SODA
  • 1 TSP CINNAMON
  • 50 GRAM COCONUT, grated
  • 50 GRAM DRIED MANGO OR APRICOT, chopped
  • 1 DECILITER YOGURT
  • 240 GRAM FLOUR
  • 170 GRAM COLD BUTTER
  • 4 APPLES, peeled and sliced
  • 75 GRAM SUGAR
  • 2 EGGS, beaten
  • 2 DECILITER CREAM
  • 2 TBSP ORANGE JUICE

Make a batter from flour, butter, egg, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and yogurt and beat well. Add the mango and the coconut. Make little heaps on a greased oven tray. Bake 15 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.

Cut 150 gram butter into small pieces and mix through the flour with 4 tablespoons water. Knead until dough, roll out and put in muffin forms. Put the apple pieces in the dough covered muffin forms. Mix the cream, juice, 20 gram sugar and eggs and pour over the apples. Bake 40 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.
