Tomato pie

Corn fritters

  • 1 KG TOMATOES, peeled and sliced
  • GREEN ONIONS, chopped
  • 150 GRAM CHEDDAR, SLICED
  • 150 GRAM FLOUR
  • 50 GRAM BUTTER
  • 25 GRAM MILK
  • 400 GRAM CORN (canned or fresh)
  • 250 GRAM FLOUR
  • 1 EGGS

Make a pie dough from flour, butter, and milk. Roll it out in a circle and put on the bottom of a round oven dish. Arrange the tomatoes on the pie dough, sprinkle the green onions, salt and fresh milled pepper over them and put the cheddar on top. Bake 25 minutes at 180 degrees, turn down the oven and bake 10 minutes more at 150 degrees Celsius. Serve hot.

Beat the egg white until fluffy. Make a batter of flour, 4 dl water and egg yolk and stir in the egg white. Before frying, add the corn. Fry little heaps of batter in sesame oil until golden on both sides. Serve with chilli sauce.
