Mix the butter with the sugar for 5 minutes, add
the egg and mix three minutes more. Add baking soda, flour, raisins,
cinnamon and ginger and stir well. Put in an over dish and bake 20 minutes
at 180 degrees Celsius. Make icing
with the icing sugar and lemon juice and brush this on top.

bake 25 minutes at 170 degrees and 45 minutes more at 140 degrees
Celsius. Serve with warm custard sauce.
