Beat the butter with the sugar for a few minutes, beat in the eggs one by one,
add the baking soda, lemon juice, lemon rind and almond paste. Finally stir in
the flour. Put the apple pieces on the bottom of a round baking form, pour the
batter on top, decorate with the almonds. Bake 40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Mix the eggs, the
butter, 100 gram sugar, flour and baking soda for 3 minutes. Stir in the
sugared lemon peel and the almond paste. Grate the rind of one lemon and stir
in, as well as the juice of one lemon. Pour the batter into a baking pan and
bake 1 hour at 170 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, heat the lemon juice of the
remaining 2 lemons with the remaining sugar and boil until it looks like
syrup. When the cake is finished, slowly pour the syrup over the cake.
